Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks a Business Development Manager to join its industry leading sales team. You'll be responsible for gaining new accounts in the Downstream Refinery Industry.

What You Will Do:
  • Drive new customer acquisition for water and process treatment applications in the Refining industry
  • Call on Plant Management level of refinery leadership teams
  • Manage significant deal volume and target account pipelines
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, targeting prioritized opportunities
  • Respond to inbound lead generation, leverage sales experience and skills to close new accounts
  • Leverage knowledge of Refining industry and sales experience to establish credibility with current and prospective customers
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to inform management's strategic decision-making, and to reflect appropriate management of the territory and sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to win new business
  • Transition customers to account management team responsible for post-sales support
Territory/Location Information:

The territory is the Gulf Coast with a preferred location in the Baton Rouge/New Orleans geography.

Open to candidates living in other Gulf Coast areas close to a major airport.

If applicable, relocation assistance would be provided for the right candidate

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years of technical sales or field sales support experience in refining and petrochemical plants
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
  • Strong relationship development skills
  • Ability to conduct sales presentations in front of Subject Matter Experts and executive leadership
  • Ability to manage time effectively to move sales pipeline efforts forward independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Process & water treatment experience in refining - specifically cooling towers, boilers, crude units, FCC, finished fuel additives, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of refining market place with proven experience in development Sr. level relationships
  • Well connected to the refining market customers based on your past work experience
  • Proven track record of aggressively growing new business 10% or more annually
