Job description
General Summary
Responsible for the accurate processing of various loans. Performs a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the Credit Union. Assist the Loan Department with meeting the Credit Union's goals.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain Loan Department files in Synergy and e-Sign.
2. Work Loan Department mail and emails.
3. Remove holds on signed loans.
4. Answer the Loan Department phone line.
5. Work and complete paid out loans including releasing titles on paid vehicles.
6. Disburse checks, drafts and vouchers on approved loans to dealerships.
7. Process all new and used vehicle sales for registration in the state in which the vehicle will be titled including the preparation of tax documents.
8. Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles, appropriate government office or title company.
9. Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.
10. Verify accuracy in the applicable legal documents to ensure that all information is accurate and complete.
11. Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins as necessary.
12. Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles.
13. Stay abreast of title regulations, by attending seminars held by local licensing bureaus, internet research and any other training available on title registrations.
14. Cross train others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.
15. Answer customer questions accurately and courteously when dealing with title related questions.
16. Compile and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work. Report list to management including a current list of outstanding titles at the end of each month.
17. Work title report to ensure that each loan is processed accurately by making sure that each one is properly documented, closed, disbursed, coordinated and filed in Synergy.
18. File loan documents including auto insurance verification into Synergy.
19. Process all GAP claims including posting GAP payments (total loss, GAP Plus & deductible reimbursement).
20. Process totaled vehicle loss claims from insurance companies.
21. Work GAP and Warranty reports to make sure the policies are issued and filed into Synergy.

Job Specifications
1. Professional, well-developed communication skills essential for projecting a positive image as representative for the Credit Union.
2. Work requires ability to operate general office machines. Knowledge of lending services products preferred. These characteristics are normally acquired through completion of some education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education and at least one year of work experience in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or financial institution.
3. Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
4. This job requires sitting, standing the majority of the time and occasional walking, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, reaching at above or at below shoulder level, finger dexterity, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls, talking, and hearing.
5. This job requires lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds occasionally.
6. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
