Job Overview

You will work with healthcare technology leaders within Perficient and our customers' organizations to envision and define solutions and architectures which enable data-based insight and decision making for our largest healthcare payer customers. This position involves working as a senior member of an architecture team with specific focus on defining and designing the best technical solutions from a data and analytics perspective. Perficient is looking for enthusiastic solution leaders who enjoy solving tough industry and technical problems, and build tools which enable Perficient's customers to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of Healthcare delivery within the United States.

This role is a for a senior solution architect that has extensive experience and subject matter expertise in Healthcare data solutions. This consultant must have a comprehensive background in providing data centered solutions and platforms to healthcare payers and providers for the purposes of data insight, analytics, governance, data integration, and data services generally, and must have experience working with structured healthcare data, as well as Big Data in Healthcare. This consultant must understand and drive conversation and solutions for industry drivers, and business/clinical/operational/organizational needs, technical implementation patterns, technologies and platforms relevant to healthcare data, integration and insight.

This role requires superb communication and interaction skills with a keen ability to present a message and point of view, with the ability to influence senior healthcare executives. This consultant must have a deep understanding of the Healthcare business, products, operations, and trends. This role requires hands on experience and involvement in POCs but is not a developer or development lead role. Familiarity and comfort with modern technologies and patterns is essential, including: Cloud-based data & analytics platforms, Big Data analytics, data services, streaming/messaging and API patterns, predicative analytics and modeling, AI and machine learning. This consultant will act to evangelize modern healthcare data solutions amongst our customers and drive solutions and opportunities.

In this role, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects, assist in defining scope and sizing of work, and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture to solve the business problem/need, enable platform integration with third party services, and design and develop sophisticated features to meet clients' business needs. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own and drive specific areas of data solution and technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to support sales and project execution teams for implementation.
  • Provide strategic data and analytics architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
  • Lead projects from a solution architecture, vision, and value point of view. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to define and understand the expected value, as well as the functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
  • Project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
  • Lead teams to develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
  • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
  • Assist clients in establishing the appropriate and relevant data and analytics vision, architecture, and program, and drive a common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
  • Engage with technical architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.
  • Leadership and team management experience with experience providing strategic planning and oversight.
  • Must have superb verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and sell solutions/concepts to other architects and to business users and stakeholders.
  • Data & Analytics project implementation experiences that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimization).
  • Experience in a professional services / consulting firm.
  • Possess a solid understanding of delivery methodology with proven ability to lead teams in the implementation of solutions according to the design/architecture.
  • Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition for Cloud, Big Data and traditional data warehousing projects.
  • Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
  • Significant experience in defining new solution architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
  • Strong experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices.
  • Proven track record of playing leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
  • Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
  • Highly proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
  • Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience leading internal and client facing initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be independent and self-driven.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must be open to travel once the Covid-19 pandemic subsides.
