Winslow Head Teller
Role:
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of teller operations within the main office ensuring the daily activities of the teller staff are performed in a timely, accurate and courteous manner.
To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
25% - Schedules and monitors daily activities of staff members including tellers, member service representatives. Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out-of-compliance issues.
20% - Trains staff members and directs the daily work. Identifies performance problems and resolves issues. Participates in the hiring process.
15% - Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders, prepaid cards; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed; opens accounts when necessary; processes daily reports related to deposit products and file maintenance.
10% - Assists tellers in solving member problems, serving as an operational reference.
5% - Prepares currency order. Manages vault cash.
5% - Evaluates departmental processes and procedures for efficiency. Makes recommendations for change as needed.
5% - Performs quarterly coaching sessions and performance evaluations in a timely manner.
5% - Keeps Branch Manager informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns
5% - Open and close the credit union building according to posted times and schedule.
5% - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To ensure that the department is providing friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
2. To ensure that on average, tellers balance at least 99% of the time with total offages not to exceed $50 in a 12 month period.
3. To maintain a highly qualified staff, sufficient to meet the daily demands of the credit union's members.
4. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department.
5. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
6. To comply with requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, NCUA Rules and Regulations, and any other regulations pertaining to the job as described and credit union operations.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
Other Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal and written), strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, 10 key calculator, keyboarding skills (minimum of 50 wpm), proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (word and excel) internet, and email, understanding of data management systems, attention to detail, ability to write, present, and explain new policies and procedures to teller department staff, ability to effectively explain credit union products and services to members, ability to create a strong team atmosphere within the department.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, occasionally stand and walk (including going up and down stairs), use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $45,200.00 - $67,800.00 per year
