Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Manager 3, Business Development to work in one of the following locations:
Baltimore (preferred location)
Azusa, CA
Dulles, VA
Aurora, CO
The primary responsibility is to identify and penetrate adjacent and new markets for the Payloads and Ground Systems (PGS) Division. Other responsibilities include:
Lead the identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities in adjacent and new markets, including international
Perform market assessments, competitive analysis, and understand customer dynamics to optimize value proposition on captures
Develop and nurture customer contacts in support of Northrop Grumman Space PGS division strategic goals
Manage the PGS business pipeline in sales force to ensure accuracy and support business forecasts
Assist PGS Business Unit Business Development management in the coordination of marketing, trade show, and customer engagements for senior leadership meetings
Manage division level training plans, attendance, and training project management
Provide weekly reports on pipeline changes to senior leaders at PGS and Space Sector
The ability to travel 25% or more will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
7 years of relevant experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, engineering or program management
4 years of management experience
Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of USG's budgeting process
Experience with DoD's acquisition process.
Strong customer domain knowledge related to US Government's Space & Ground, preferably with the Space Intelligence Community and DoD
Salary Range: 144100 - 226400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
