Job description

Chesapeake Hearing Centers is searching for a Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator for our location in Annapolis, MD. With eight offices across Maryland, Chesapeake Hearing Centers is the oldest private practice audiology group in the state. We treat each patient just as we would want to be treated. The successful candidate will be a friendly, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual, eager to join our patient-centered and community-oriented practice, providing excellent support and contributing to the success of the team! We are looking for someone who is seeking a long-term stable career, not just a temporary position, and who wants to work on a team that often feels more like a family.

Responsibilities include:

1. Warmly greet patients and other visitors

2. Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner

3. Screen patients to determine what services will meet their needs

4. Enter and update all patient information, including intake forms

5. Schedule appointments

6. Clean and check hearing aids

7. Enter charges and payments, assist in patient collections, and fill in where needed

8. Maintain excellent working relationships with patients, vendors, colleagues, etc.

9. Would sometimes be required to travel to Severna Park to serve as back-up for front office staff in those offices. Should be comfortable crossing the Bay Bridge every once in a while for one-day company-wide trainings.

Qualifications

1. Friendly and warm personality

2. Superior interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, including high level of computer literacy. Familiarity with Excel and Electronic Medical Records is a plus!

3. An eye for accuracy and details.

4. Professional listening and problem-solving skills

5. Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and stay organized

6. Must have consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance

7. Minimum high school diploma

8. Prior healthcare and/or office experience a plus.

Benefits

As a Chesapeake Hearing Centers employee, you would be eligible for a comprehensive benefits program designed with you and your dependents in mind. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our staff as safe as possible, we have installed a plexiglass barrier between them and patients, as well as providing gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer. We also limit patients in the waiting room to avoid crowding by the front desk.
