Job Title: AVP, Accountant Finance

Group: Group Finance

Location: FAB - Washington DC, USA


Job Purpose:

  • Finance: The Accountant position is responsible for the preparation of regulatory and financial reports and works closely with CCFO on assigned tasks.
  • HR: Provides guidance and oversight to the payroll and employee benefits programs, including the 401k retirement program.


Key Accountabilities:

Finance

  • Conducts detailed analytical reviews of all GL accounts for discrepancies and raises adjustments as required. Prepare adjustments to submit to GF to ensure compliance with AOV policy
  • Compiles and processes cost allocation by LOBs
  • Detailed review of general expenses against budget to highlight any overages or discrepancies
  • Reviews all accounts payable transactions before processing to ensure correct GL posting and required approvals within DA. Coordinates approval when required.
  • Handles the processing of HO reimbursement of expenses
  • Reconciles prepaid and accrued expenses, fixed assets, amortized fee and interest income accounts. Assists Operations with reconciliations as needed
  • Prepares detailed supporting documentation for all regulatory reports for review by the CCFO. Ensures timely filing of the following regulatory reports:


HR - Payroll and Benefits Administration

The following programs are covered:

  • Bi-monthly payroll - Staff are paid on the 15th and 30th of each month, reviews bi-monthly, quarterly and year-end reports generated from ADP to ensure payroll and tax filings are accurate.
  • Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides general ledger support related to all staff costs. Provides necessary data for cost allocations by LOB.

· Primary Fidelity contact for the administration of the Fidelity 401k retirement plan

  • Monitor and ensure 401 (k) contributions do not exceed IRS limitations, work with Falcone to provide census information for discrimination testing to maintain qualified plan status under IRS regulations

Admin

Maintains all corporate insurance policies:

  • Business property insurance policy
  • Fiduciary liability policy
  • ERISA bond
  • Bankers blanket bond
  • Computer equipment policy


Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualification

  • University Degree in Finance / Accounting or related experience


Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably in the financial sector
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office products, particularly Excel
