We have a well-established global M&BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities. The team is divided into several key areas including Practice M&BD, Client Development and Industry M&BD, and Corporate Communications, which includes Public Relations, Brand, Design, Events, and online. There are also regional M&BD teams with whom this role will interact.

We need a capable and enthusiastic self-starter to support the marketing and business development activities of our Global Regulatory practice group. This position is resident in the Washington, D.C. office and will work closely with the Global Regulatory M&BD team there and globally, working on a variety tasks, including communications, events, project assistance, and pitches and proposals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Profile raising and marketing


  • Help to develop and maintain practice marketing collateral including credentials, practice overviews, brochures, website content, etc.
  • Produce a range of electronic client communications. Ensure integration of content throughout internal and external channels, including social media.
  • Coordinate and support practice client seminars, webinars, association activities, and other marketing-oriented events and programs, including the development of targeted guest lists, program invitations and materials, day-of support and follow up, including program reporting.
  • Draft and coordinate directory submissions for ranking organizations/publications.
  • Promote practice capabilities and activities across the firm, through regular internal newsletters, attendance and presentation at various practice meetings, and maintenance of practice intranet sites.
  • Develop digital content promoting thought leadership, programs, attorney recognitions, and more. Help to leverage content on social media (Clearview Social).

Business Development


  • Assist with the development of practice materials and the creation of customized pitch materials and PowerPoint presentations.
  • In partnership with the practices and others in M&BD, work to identify cross-selling opportunities across regulatory and industry sector clients and work with the practice leaders, attorneys, and wider M&BD team to expand client relationships.
  • Assist with the execution of activities detailed in practice business plans, tracking progress against goals.
  • Draft thoughtful responses to RFPs, customized pitches, and business development presentations.
  • Help to populate and maintain our experience database.
  • Assist with the development and drafting of directory submissions.

Leadership and Knowledge Sharing


  • Liaise with M&BD colleagues to ensure communication of best practices in areas such as new business pitches, business generation, thought leadership and client communications, and client support.
  • Work to continually refine processes and procedures related to marketing and business development operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a structured approach for accessing up-to-date M&BD information and knowledge, such as experience and pitches. This includes gathering and maintaining information on practice experience for inclusion in marketing collateral.

Wider Marketing and Business Development Projects


  • Manage and contribute to additional marketing and BD projects as required.
  • All members of the firm are encouraged to participate in our Global Citizenship program.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a legal or professional / business services sector
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience of working in a marketing and business development role in a legal or similar professional services firm
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and InterAction

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including one hour for lunch. Must be flexible for overtime - longer working hours commensurate with deadlines, responsibilities, and demands of the role will be expected as appropriate.
