The Opportunity


Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Senior Manager of Sales Operations will develop and drive support activities and operations for the Partnerships/Business Development team. This role is integral to the success of the team by providing sales and operational support that maximizes sales effectiveness and revenue potential. As our client is in the midst of the accelerated growth across offerings - this role will also build out best practices and standard templates, materials, and messaging to scale the companies business development efforts. The ideal candidate thrives on problem-solving, works well with ambiguity and is motivated to create offerings that empower sales teams - and eventually lead a team that is focused on sales operations and support.



Responsibilities


  • Support the Director of Business Development to customize, develop, edit, and proofread tailored proposals, presentations, pitch content, and marketing materials (decks, web content, case studies, etc.), including creating data visualizations for executive presentations in Powerpoint and Google Slides.
  • Conduct sector and function specific research to support business development efforts to meet the organizations growth targets
  • Lead in the the creation of partner data "snapshots" on an annual basis; including developing a template, incorporating feedback from the Partnership team, formalizing a process, and creating snapshots
  • In collaboration with marketing/communications, maintain and update "master" materials (e.g., presentations, one-pagers, program specific materials, case studies )
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) system to track team activity and manage sales opportunities
  • In collaboration with the organizations tech team, own processes and documentation on how Partnerships / Business Development leverages Salesforce and other tools
  • Monitor progress of Business Development /Partnerships team in keeping Salesforce / other tools accurate in real-time. Work 1/1 with team members to ensure data accuracy
  • Support with annual sales planning process


Skills Required


  • 7+ years of experience in sales support or sales operations
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, entrepreneurial work environment and balance priorities and inbound requests
  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM) to support sales operations activities such as prospect management, data entry, and pipeline reporting
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint, Google Slides, and Excel, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize data and tell persuasive stories
  • Experience producing intuitive, client-ready business memos and decks
  • History of being a self-starter
