Job description

American Wood Fibers (AWF), a rapidly growing manufacturer of consumer and industrial products sold to other manufacturers and to pet, agricultural and home heating markets, seeks a Recruitment Coordinator on our Human Resources Team based at our Columbia, MD Corporate Headquarters. AWF manufactures at 11 locations spanning the nation, has 400+ employees, and generates over $100M in annual sales revenue.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates the full recruiting lifecycle across the company in order to find, hire, and retain quality talent.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources team to ensure all open roles are posted online.
  • Posts open positions online, coordinating with marketing team to utilize social media marketing platforms if needed.
  • Screens resumes and job applications for qualified applicants who meet job criteria.
  • Conducts initial phone interviews and coordinates next step interviews for hiring managers.
  • Guides hiring managers through the recruitment and interview process.
  • Drafts offer letters and assists HR team with new hire paperwork.
  • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
  • Manages job posting email inbox in order to respond to candidates in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations during recruitment process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
  • At least 1 - 2 years of related experience in a recruitment or human resources role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
