Maintains grounds of cemetery/memorial park and performs duties relative to the burial of the deceased and lowering of casket module in the cemetery. Maintain grounds in cemetery and mausoleum. Performs routine laborer's work of a general nature to assist with all necessary duties to prepare to dig and close graves. Must have reliable transportation.

Duties: Dirt removal, frame graves, lower caskets, handle lowering devices, top dress, seed graves, set greens, tents, setup vaults, handle grave containers, cut lawns, trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls, prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches or twigs, sprays lawn, shrubs and trees with fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides; rake and bags or burn leaves, cleans grounds and removes litter, shovels snow from walks and driveways, spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup; plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs, water lawn and shrubs; repair fences, gates, walls and walks, paints as specified; cleans out drainage ditches and culverts and controlling run off; sharpens tools e.g. weed cutters, edging tools and shears, makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader and snow removal equipment, directs incoming/outgoing traffic, installs and maintains stonework and monuments, takes care of complaints.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driver's License: Individual must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and in good standing

Uniform: This position requires the individual to wear an officially approved uniform, paid for by the Company, while in a duty status.
