Job description

The Human Resources Generalist provides support to employees, administers benefits including health insurance and retirement plan, and provides administrative functions for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee core benefits including health, dental and vision. Plan and coordinate open enrollment activities, troubleshoot issues, and act as a liaison to vendors.
  • Fosters a positive and productive relationship with the broker and insurance carriers.
  • Manages billing process for benefits-related services.
  • Facilitate wellness program from enrollment to wellness initiatives.
  • Conducts new employee orientation/onboarding, explaining company policies and benefits.
  • Maintain hardcopy personnel files, database management for digital records.
  • Fully cross-trained to back-up the Payroll Administrator/HRIS Specialist.
  • Serves as back-up to Director of Human Resources for employee relations issues and investigations, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR/Generalist/Benefits Administration/Recruitment experience.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office products).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel within 70 mile radius to other offices/location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
