Job description

DUTIES:
Responsible for Global Logistics and Distribution IT for North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
Implement business optimization projects to improve efficiency, reduced costs, and maximize profit leveraging IT systems and machine automation.
Gather and analyze requirements obtained from business users and stakeholders to create deliverables such as the Business Requirement Document, User Stories and Wire Frames.
Liaise between Business and Technical team to ensure a mutual understanding of processes and applications.
Document business requirements and business process flows.
Manage enhancements and small projects, including budget, schedule, scope, resources and overall quality.
Participate in Practical Process Improvement Kaizen events to provide input on Logistics related IT systems and processes.
Partner with system analysts on technical design and coordinate with different development teams.
Create and execute test scripts, capture defects, verify fixes and report updates.
Coordinate and perform functional, end-to-end regression, load testing and smoke testing.
Troubleshoot issues, identify problems and develop practical solutions.
Follow change management processes and present change requests at review meetings.
Document release notes and develop training materials.
Partner with business to analyze and recommend process improvements.
Train business users on new system functionality and/or process changes.
Contribute to knowledge repository.
Mentor junior resources.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related technical field plus 5 years of IT Consulting, ERP Functional/Technical, Software Engineer, IT Systems Analyst, IT Quality Assurance or related experience. Employer also accepts a Master's degree and 3 years of experience as an equivalent alternative.

Must have experience or knowledge of:
End-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) related activities and deliverables;
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems including Baan, SAP SD module and E1 (JDE) Inventory module;
Integration technologies and systems, such as XML, webMethods or Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM);
Oracle PL/SQL;
Reporting tools, such as IBM Cognos;
Machine automation systems, such as conveyors, print and apply applicators, in-line weigh scales, and case sealers; and
Inventory Management, Purchase Order processes, Pick Pack Ship processes, Intercompany processes, pick slips, shipment confirmation, and dispatch notes.
