Administrative Coordinator
$34,715 - $55,910 DOQ

The Administrative Coordinator is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Community & Economic Development and is responsible for several advanced administrative duties. There is a high degree of responsibility and discretion required in this position. Excellent customer service skills and computer proficiency is required. The position serves as the primary support person for the department and may be required to perform tasks unique to the department. Must be capable of working independently and balancing competing demands and deadlines.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree, two years of business school, or training equal to two years of relevant post-secondary education preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered. Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a business or government office performing moderate to advanced administrative functions. Must have a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record in accordance with the City's vehicle operator policy. Must have proficiency in Microsoft products or other computer related software programs. Notary certification preferred.

Essential Functions: The position provides office management and administrative support for the Director of Community & Economic Development and all department leads, establishing a high standard of office efficiency and positive customer service environment; assists walk-in customers; answers, screens, and directs phone calls and messages; receives and responds to citizen inquiries and/or complaints; replies to emails received individually and to the department's general email inbox; establishes and maintains accurate, up-to-date, and logical filing systems of required and/or appropriate records; performs office management functions; performs other administrative duties within the department. The Administrative Coordinator may perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Work may include some evening and weekend hours to support department programs and special project assignments.
