We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient, sourcing savvy Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR/Talent team. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll be responsible for the fulfillment of day-to-day talent acquisition goals including proactively identifying, sourcing and maintaining an active pipeline of qualified professionals. This person will identify the very best talent across many departments within our organization. Positions can vary from commission based outside sales, to factory line assemblers, to project management, customer service, and exempt and non-exempt corporate roles. In this role, you should be nimble, resourceful, goal oriented, and be committed to providing a high level of service to candidates and hiring managers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Implement position-specific recruitment campaigns, with the intent to build strong candidate pipelines for hard to fill openings
* Create and modify recruitment marketing materials, including careers website, social media accounts and job postings
* Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and current employees to support passive candidate recruiting and appropriately leverage referral programs
* Effectively utilize and administer applicant tracking system to manage job openings and candidates, and utilize LinkedIn to identify and connect with passive candidates
* Partner with hiring managers to implement workforce planning strategies.
* Influence Hiring Managers through a combination of deep business acumen, labor market knowledge, and talent management experience.
* Perform full life-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, candidate assessment and selection.
* Identify sourcing needs and develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to build appropriate talent pipelines.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners to create a wide sourcing constituency.
* Partner with hiring managers to define candidate requirements and develop assessment tools to ensure candidates of the highest quality are selected - Hire "A Players."
* Manage hiring manager expectations around the recruitment process and timing.
* Educate and coach hiring managers on effective interview techniques and legal requirements.
* Provide a high quality experience to candidates through effective communication, expectation setting, and follow up.
* Market the Companies to passive candidates.
* Negotiate and close offers of employment.
* Work with HR Business Partners to ensure development and training plans are in place prior to hire.
* Adhere to HR established processes and standards of quality at all times.
* Generate, compile and analyze reports related to talent acquisition and retention.
* Monitor relevant metrics to ensure that goals and benchmarks are met, re-evaluating and making adjustments as needed.
* Attend career fairs and networking events as needed. .
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
* Bachelors' degree in Business, HR, or related field
* 1-3 years' experience in a sales recruiting, military recruiting or other high volume recruiting role; any equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint).
* Prior experience with applicant tracking systems. We use Taleo.
* Ability to travel throughout MD, VA, DC on occasion.
