Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Senior PCB Designer to join a leading Company located in the Laurel, MD surrounding area.


Job Responsibilities:

Work with multiple engineering disciplines to define design parameters for a given board in accordance with established processes. Use tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition and Altium Designer to generate library parts, schematics, layout geometries, BOMs, assembly drawings, and fabrication files for the design. (80%)

Work with technical staff supporting the fabrication and assembly of the designs providing expertise and assistance on design tools and design for manufacturing techniques. (15%)

Responsible for the integrity and archival of the design/manufacturing data into a product life management system


Required Qualifications:

Have a minimum of 8 years of design experience using Siemens Mentor Graphics Xpedition and Altium Designer CAD tools

Command of design techniques for varied stackup definitions, impedance control, differential pairs, DDR routing, high current routing/spacing and analog/RF designs

Is a talented individual who enjoys being a team member developing cutting edge designs for space research missions and other technologies to help advance scientific research.

Have familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes for high reliability and prototype printed circuit boards

Experience in schematic capture and manipulation

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task across several projects.

Foster teamwork and open communication across multiple technical disciplines


Desired Qualifications:

Have a BSEE or equivalent

Awarded the Advanced Certification Interconnect Designer (CID+) from IPC

Have experience with Hyperlynx

Experience in schematic capture and manipulation
