SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / BUSINESS ANALYST: OWINGS MILLS, MD
Who Staffing is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Business Analyst for a fulltime, contract opportunity with our client in Owings Mill, Maryland.
Job Summary:
Our Fortune 1000 client is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager/Business Analyst to support the business management function within Global Technology's Enterprise Architecture (EA) department. You will work closely with the EA business management team to provide EA leadership with the processes, frameworks, data, and analytics it needs to:
- Develop departmental strategy and set departmental objectives in alignment with the firm's broader business and technology goals
- Establish a book of work in alignment with strategic objectives
- Fund and staff strategic initiatives
- Monitor program health and track realization of business value
**This is an hybrid work opportunity (3 days in office located in Owings Mills, MD, 2 days remote)**
Specific Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the EA Business Management team's book of work; includes facilitating team's daily stand ups, ensuring the portfolio's work breakdown structure is aligned with the dept's WBS taxonomy, ensuring content/status is up to date
- Producing, distributing, and analyzing monthly and quarterly program reports
- Interfacing with HR and strategic staffing partners to ensure realization of the organization's short and long-term business plans/staffing needs
- Fostering associate engagement and professional development across EA. Includes managing events designed to foster engagement and/or development
- Creating, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness of the business data used to monitor, manage, and inform business planning, decision-making, risk management, and performance
- Tracking the health of EA's strategic initiatives, monitoring progress against program objectives and business outcomes; ensuring the department is regularly delivering business value
- Consulting with EA leadership to ensure communications programs in place to support department's strategic change initiatives
- Supporting EA's Business Manager in managing of departmental finances, driving departmental budgeting, and forecasting exercises and providing regular updates to the EA co-heads
Capabilities:

- Coordinates SMEs and other project stakeholders to ensure project is appropriately staffed and resources are properly aligned and managed. Maintains regular contact with internal clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments.

Business Knowledge:

- Familiarity with Asset Management, FinTech or Technology Management, and/or Enterprise Architecture is preferred
- Depending on functional alignment, understanding of the life cycle of the product to the client in Financial Services.
Requirements:
- Typically, 5+ years of experience as a project/program manager and/or 5+ years a Business Analyst with demonstrated project management experience
- Communicates project/program vision to all parties involved in an initiative
- Provides a clear and concise explanation of business strategy, technical concepts, designs, or implementations to a non-technical audience
- Is grounded in the taxonomy of what is required to successfully implement an Agile technology program or project
- Identifies impacts across teams and coordinates across senior levels to manage dependencies and potentially opposing priorities
- Identifies system/process/data impacts (upstream and downstream) where relevant and proposes appropriate alternatives/ remediation
- Communicates technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written

Preferred Requirements:
- PMP certification and/or Agile Scrum Management certification
- Knowledge of operations for the assigned business unit
- Experience running large-scale multi-discipline efforts across people processes and technology with complex financial services organizations
