Position Summary The Laboratory Information Coordinator receives, distributes, and processes blood and body fluids/specimens from inpatient, outpatient and outreach locations. The LIC coordinates information between laboratory sections and between the laboratory and its clients. He/she maintains the daily operation of the laboratory information computer system. The Laboratory Information Coordinator participates in educational and training activities and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non-routine technical functions. Position Requirements Education Must be able to type and use computer keypad. Some medical terminology courses and computer data entry experience is desirable. Experience One year experience with general business procedures or computer operation.
