Job description

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking a Human Resources professional with broad HR subject matter knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting to assume the role of Assistant Director Human Resources.

Under the general direction of the HR Director, the Assistant Director Human Resources will play a significant leadership role and oversee the implementation, coordination, and administration of all aspects of the human resource function including, but not limited to: employment management, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, payroll, regulatory compliance, policy development, training, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, and SPHR or PHR designation preferred, 7+ years of professional HR Generalist/HR Manager experience with 5+ years of direct responsibility for 2 or more functional areas of HR, 2+ years experience with HRMS/HRIS systems and experience supervising subordinate HR staff.
