Panagora seeks business development associate/Sr. business development associate who will provide a range of new business support for capture and proposals for new contracts including a coordination of proposal recruitment efforts. The successful candidate may also support Panagora activity management teams on projects occasionally, ensuring to uphold project management standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate specific business opportunities and market trends, particularly the U.S. Agency for International Development u2019s (USAID u2019s).
- Maintain business development trackers and potential procurements across Panagora Practices.
- Administration of contact and resume databases.
- Coordinate and prepare expressions of interest.
- Recruitment of staff and consultants for bids.
- In collaboration with technical staff, draft, edit and synthesize proposal content, including corporate capability statements and past performance references
- Coordinate proposal efforts, including recruitment, partnering, non-technical writing and production.
- Gather, synthesize, and support analysis of information about USAID, other clients, partners, and competitors
- Assist with company/ staff membership, workshop, and conference attendance.
- Coordinate with proposal team to prepare cost proposals.
- Draft non-technical sections on proposals.
- Liaise with partner organizations on business development activities.
- Coordinate and support business development meetings.
- Format CVs, bios, and past performance information for proposals
- Coordinate with Corporate Communications to develop marketing materials and information for the website
Requirements
For Business Development Associate:
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, international development, or other relevant field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Familiarity with USAID programming required
- Experience with integrated health, private sector health programming, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and/or knowledge management
- Demonstrated new business and recruitment skills.
- Ability to work in complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Demonstrated self-starter with leadership skills, versatility, and integrity
- Proficient MS Office skills
For Sr. Business Development Associate:
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, international development, or other relevant field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Familiarity with USAID programming required
- Experience with integrated health, private sector health programming, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and/or knowledge management
- Demonstrated new business and recruitment skills.
- Ability to work in complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Demonstrated self-starter with leadership skills, versatility, and integrity
- Proficient MS Office skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience living and working outside the continuous US.
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages (preferably French, Portuguese, or Spanish)
- Experience with organizational development and learning is a plus.
