What you'll be doing...
Verizon seeks a qualified Contract Management Consultant to join its Public Sector legal. This position will assist senior Contract Managers in being responsible for cradle-to-grave management of a portfolio of contracts with the federal government, including: analyzing customer solicitations, preparing Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements, developing proposal documents, negotiating terms and conditions, resolving contract disputes, and administering contract close-outs. This position will be responsible for the complex administrative tasks associated with implementing awarded task orders and contracts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Sourcing, Project Management, Product, Finance, Billing, and other organizations that support the Verizon Federal sales effort. You will interface with key customers, interpret and negotiate contract terms, interact with Verizon senior management and Legal, and must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as sound business and legal judgment.
- Support all aspects of Verizon's sale and provision of services to the federal government.
- Assist in responding to customer solicitations such as requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and proposals submitted in response to such solicitations.
- Complete complex administrative tasks associated with implementing awarded task orders and contracts.
- Maintain contract files and communicate with government Contracting Officers.
- Research and assist contract managers and attorneys in preparing for customer negotiations over both contract terms and contract disputes. Monitor and help ensure compliance with requirements associated with doing business with the government. Participate in internal and external compliance audits.
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in public sector contracting.
- Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience with federal government contracting.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
- Business acumen, effective oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
