Job Summary
Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, P.C. is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team at the Maryland headquarters. This position is essential to sustaining the growth of the practice and is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a place that has been continuously growing and expanding its practice areas. You will be working with various groups of individuals such as talented physicians, physical therapists, therapy technicians, medical assistants, support staff, clinical research, and others who are devoted to providing patients with the best rheumatology care in the area.
We are looking for two Human Resources Specialists to join our growing HR Department! are looking for you to have at least two years of experience, a passion for helping organizations and people! Our ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Maintain employee HR information by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, anniversaries, and birth dates
- Administer new employee benefits, manage benefit election changes, and facilitate the open enrollment process
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
- Responsible for sourcing candidates for open positions to coordinating include in-person interviews, maintaining the recruiting database software, and reporting to management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends in the legal industry that have short and long-term implications on the business
- Responsible for new employee onboarding
- Plans new employee orientation
- Conducts new employee Paycom and NextGen training.
- Provide expectations, guidance on policies, procedures, and company operations.
- Ensures new employees are provided with HRIS system login, is prepared for their first day, provide guidance and support to the new employee throughout the onboarding process
- Train system users on functionalities and new features
- Creates and keeps personnel hard and electronic files current by adding updates/changes made by employees.
Other Duties:
- Assist the HR Director with reports, correspondence, special projects, and other tasks as assigned.
- Handles confidential matters concerning practice policies.
- Assist managers and provide coaching on employee relation issues, documentation best practices, and guidance on disciplinary actions including terminations
- Informs the HR Director of personnel problems. Determines action necessary in HR Director's absence and handles matters not requiring executive disposition.
- Prepared and monitors general correspondence on behalf of the HR Director.
- Assists Director with payroll processing by reviewing timesheets, discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in employee pay
- Provides computer assistance to staff when necessary.
- Respond to HR inquiries regarding pay, time off requests, HRIS system access, policies, procedures
- Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans
- Distribute materials for benefits for enrollment
- Under Director's direction disseminates updates/changes in Company benefits, policies, and procedures to employees.
- Completes personnel benefit enrollment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior recruiting experience is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, time management, customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to submit to a background check and drug test
