Through our partnership with the federal government, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with the leading medical research center in the world. We are seeking a Communications Manager to support the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE).

TASKS/SERVICES

(1) Direct and oversee communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products.

(2) Conduct market or public opinion research to assess program outcomes.

(3) Suggest promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsel top management on effective communication strategies

(4) Manage a multi-disciplinary team of communications and graphics design professionals across the headquarters and centers within the organization.

(5) Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external communications and the team as well as directly interact with Public Affairs Office (PAO) leadership and TBICoE directors and senior leaders.

(6) Provide subject matter expert consultation and functional skills to develop and support the organization's communications missions both internal and external. This includes an overall communications strategy as well as smaller campaigns or themed plans.

(7) Review and approve all materials and deliverables before they are sent to the client, ensuring consistently well developed and error free deliverables.

(8) Use knowledge of the environment and best practices and industry standards to recommend and implement solutions to better integrate and strengthen TBICoE's brand and media presence.

REQUIREMENTS

(1) Bachelor's degree in communications or related discipline

(2) Minimum 8 years of related experience that includes developing written and visual informational materials. Prior experience within the DoD system and knowledge of other government agencies preferred

(3) Experience utilizing software applications to develop communications products such as web design and content, brochures, briefing materials, and marketing tools.

(4) Knowledge of technical and professional guidelines applicable to communication initiatives such as libel and copyright laws, Privacy Act implications regarding the release of information, and relevant DoD regulations and practices.
