With manufacturing facilities in the Great Britain and Hyderabad, India, Sai Life Science is a growing and innovative company looking to partner with growing pharmaceutical companies Globally.


We're seeking innovative and highly motivated Business Development professional to join our growing CMC Sales team. This role will work collaboratively with members of the Sai CMC group to increase sales and source new contacts in the Greater Boston area and US East Coast region We aim meet the unique needs of our individual partners with the goal to build lasting business relationships to better the lives of patients.


Role Description:

  • Mid-level (not entry level or heavily seasoned) business development/sales professional position
  • Contributes to Sai's growth by opening 20+ new accounts per year that will be cultivated and developed into long term strategic partnerships across the drug discovery, development, and manufacturing value chain

Ideal Requirements:

  • MS or PhD in chemistry or biology; MBA also preferred
  • Strong understanding of small molecule drug discovery, development, and commercialization
  • 5-10 years of experience in the biotech/biopharma ecosystem. Direct experience with startups, small biotechs, big pharmas, CROs, CMOs, and CDMOs from a sales, marketing, and/or outsourcing perspective
  • Relevant experience working at a top consulting company providing services to biotechs, big pharma, and/or CROs, CMOs, and CDMOs

Travel:

  • Travel up to 50% in heavy months, 10-25% in slower months
  • Must be able to travel internationally especially to India, UK, EU

Goals/Expectations:

  • Open 6 to 8 new accounts per year for Sai
  • Build lasting relationships with key decision makers e.g. CSOs, CEOs, outsourcing managers, that will contribute to aggressive growth of Sai's business (revenues and EBITDA) over the next 4-5 years
