Overview:

Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to help support its M&A and capital raising advisory business within our Technology practice. The position is located in either Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and be able to meaningfully contribute to the group on Day 1 with little hands-on training. The Associate will have the opportunity to work directly with Managing Directors and over time high-performers will have long-term opportunities to rotate through our other U.S. and overseas offices, if desired. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client proposals and presentations
  • Interact with clients, potential investors, and senior bankers
  • Develop financial analysis and models
  • Manage deal processes
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop Analysts
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; business, economics, finance/accounting majors preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking required
  • Knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices is essential
  • Solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
  • Team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills; Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
  • FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses are required, or to be obtained within the first six months of employment
