Primary responsibilities:

• Serve as an engaged and active member of the Board and its financial and risk-focused Committee.
• Utilize comprehensive financial and accounting expertise to support the strategic plan and provide insight for the effective management of associated risk.
• Focus on risk management, audit, compliance, asset liability management, and non-banking services.
• Evaluate the performance of the Institution and its executive management.

Required skills and experience:

• The financial acumen and expertise to serve as a "Financial Expert" on the appropriate Board Committee, and eventually serve as Committee Chair.
• An understanding of the nuances of sophisticated and complex accounting, auditing, internal controls, and/or relevant regulations.
• Experience/exposure to the Financial Services industry and/or public companies is preferred.
• Natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, facilitating, and building consensus.
