Analyst position supporting the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team in a range of data analysis, investment process enhancements, and development of investment performance and business metrics. The role will primarily leverage Charles River and Tableau systems. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with key investment concepts and have some Fixed Income acumen. Familiarity with relational databases, comfort working with large data sets, and suggesting processes improvements are necessary skills.
Job Functions:
- Develop a full understanding and expertise in the Fixed Income trading and portfolio management platform and processes to facilitate enhancements and new solutions.
- Help investment team prioritize process initiatives to ensure the pipeline is focused on the most critical items across all the business units.
- Understand and deploy business and investment best practices, processes and technology to become the team's subject matter expert.
- Discover, extract and prepare data from Charles River databases. Develop and manage Tableau reports to deepen the team's analytic and reporting capabilities.
- Enhance the investment team's business intelligence reporting capabilities to provide leadership tools to support growth.
- Provide ad hoc investment reporting and analysis.
- Engage with the Fixed Income team to define strategic and tactical priorities for process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment analytics or work with related systems (e.g. Charles River and or Tableau).
- Familiarity with data analytics and programming languages is required (e.g. Python and SQL)
- Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility and is naturally curious. Preference for working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Willing to take on new assignments. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Problem solver, self-starter, and solutions oriented.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Bachelors degreed highly preferred and/or equivalent experience
