Job description

Business Analyst (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): The Business Analyst will identify and implement system solutions for Finance, Treasury, and Risk regulatory data needs. The Business Analyst will provide in-depth analysis, including building data models and prototypes, as well as translate reporting requests into actionable function and technical requests. Specific duties of the position include: preparing high-level Architecture diagrams, including application integration; defining mathematical financial models which project cash flows under multiple scenarios; acting as customer proxy working closely with our Finance and Treasury business partners to develop written project plans and execute project tasks; leading data automation efforts by designing models and use cases to replace manual and inefficient processes; ensuring timely availability for reporting and migrating away from Access database to Oracle relational database repository and eliminating manual data entry points; documenting technical and system specifications for Data modeling, transformation, and consumption; discovering data marts used in BI reporting tools in Information Governance Center; managing stewardship artifacts in SharePoint for source system approvals, data marts, scorecards, data dictionaries, data Governance (Enterprise Data Governance Management), and compliance with data source systems; managing inbound and outbound data requests with a focus on approvals and process controls to achieve Data Center of Excellence approval for new datasets; designing framework for data controls and checks to be established in Regulatory Reports; and building reports on server utilization and data profiling to manage Finance, Treasury and Risk data.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems or a related field; and 5 years of experience working in a data-centric project environment.

Must have: Demonstrated experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD, and MS Visio; demonstrated experience with reporting tools such as Tibco Spotfire, Cognos, Tableau, and Composite; demonstrated experience with Big Data applications to Finance and Treasury systems; and demonstrated experience with Axiom for Regulatory Reporting including the following standards: 5G/2052a, FFIEC 101, 102, 031, 009/009a, 030/030S, FR 2314/2314S, FR Y-14Q, Y-11/ Y-11S, Y-9 LP, and Y-9C. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required.
