RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Ensure the smooth, timely and accurate operations of the accounting functions

§ Oversee, evaluate and manage 2 staff members in the accounting, payroll, and development functions of the agency

§ Act as primary liaison with contract managers, banking representatives, investment advisors and other key business relationships

§ Manage cash flows, produce cash flow reports

§ Oversee and produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for both management and the Board

§ Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements and any loan covenants

§ Oversee the preparation of the annual Audit and other required state and federal filings

§ Continue to develop and enhance operations and fiscal systems that thread through the entire organization

§ Assume a leadership role in producing the annual budget while ensuring a collaborative process

§ Provide various financial analysis and models as needed

§ Other projects and duties as assigned based on business needs

REQUIREMENTS:

§ 5+year of relevant experience in directing a financial team / nonprofit experience helpful but not required

§ Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, or a Bachelor's degree in Finance combined with strong hands-on accounting experience may be substituted

§ Masters' degree in Business Administration and/or CPA preferred.

§ Experience in Public Accounting a plus

§ Exceptional accounting skills

§ Experience with state and federal contract a plus
