About the Role
The Credit Manager will work on and manage Credit and Risk related duties in LendingClub Bank's Equipment Finance Division. The Credit Manager is expected to help drive and manage all aspects of the deal life cycle, including the originating, prescreening, pricing, structuring, underwriting, closing, and monitoring of leveraged middle market high yield debt products secured by discrete assets. Responsibilities will include the management of an assigned portfolio of accounts from application to termination, including the underwriting, structuring, documentation, and monitoring processes. In addition, the Credit Manager will be assigned industry in which to establish a certain level of expertise. The Credit Manager will also help train and manage Credit Analysts.
What You'll Do
* Credit Underwriting & Monitoring
* Assess potential credit opportunities and provide recommendations to the Director of Credit
* Take the lead in the credit underwriting of awarded transactions and make presentations to management within the bank when necessary
* Lead due diligence calls with new and existing customers
* Use various resources to research and monitor industry trends and acquire information to assist in the underwriting process
* Monitor and update the financial profile of credits in assigned portfolio on a quarterly basis and present portfolio results to management
* Assist in updating credit policy when appropriate
* Take a lead in the management of the flow of transactions through EF credit process
* Take the lead in structuring of new credit facilities
* Assist in the documentation of new transactions
* Work with other groups in REF regarding terminations, rollovers, EBOs, etc.
* Portfolio Managing/Reporting
* Create and maintain various financial models used to monitor the status, concentrations, and asset quality of the EF portfolio
* Assist in the collection and workout of accounts when necessary.
* Assist in the identification and prevention of potential risks to the overall health of EF's portfolio
* Assist in managing EF's use of Moody's Lending Cloud for portfolio monitoring and reporting
* Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of specific credits in the EF portfolio
* Assist in preparation for external Loan Reviews, audits, and regulatory exams.
About You
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
* Working knowledge of financial markets
* Experience/ability to read and analyze financial statements
* Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, financial, or investment analysis techniques
* Working knowledge of debt structure and valuable credit metrics
* Experience with lease documentation and security instruments
* Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as a strong aptitude for learning new software packages
* Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
* 3-7 years of experience in an analyst role in a finance leasing company
