The Role

We're looking for a Data Science Team Leader to join our new research team. We're looking for a technical leader who can direct data science projects, delegate tasks in order to manage team workloads and mentor junior researchers/scientists on the team. This role will also manage internal stakeholders by presenting insights and recommendations to business leaders in order to explain the benefits and impacts of the recommended solutions. As part of a Global Research department, you will also work closely with counterparts, seniors, and technical leadership in Israel and the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a group of 4-5 Data Scientists, helping them advance their careers
• Working side-by-side with managers from various disciplines on the day to day - Software Developers, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Analysts
• Design solutions for the company's core mission using Data Science methodologies from various domains
• Responsible for developing new cutting edge algorithms based on various Machine Learning techniques
• Generate and test working hypotheses in unexplored territory
  
  

Job Requirements

• Prior experience building and/or leading data science or tangential teams
• 4+ years of experience with Algorithm Research, Data Science, Machine Learning
• Scientific Degree graduate with an honored BSc or MSc
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Proficient in Python and the Data Science Stack.
• Knowledge in some of the following can be an advantage: machine learning, predictive modeling, optimization, risk and finance
