The Shah Family Foundation is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Communications Team. We are looking for a motivated and creative candidate with experience in social media management, email marketing, print marketing, and graphic design. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the Foundation's social media and email following and for developing and implementing paid media campaigns aimed at building audiences for Foundation causes and products, including our two podcasts and upcoming documentary.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the Foundation's social media calendar and build out daily content to promote the Foundation's work and partners
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends and engage with external accounts in order to build the Foundation's brand as a key voice on issues such as food access, mental health, poverty, and education
  • Track and report on social media and email performance metrics
  • Develop and implement a multi-pronged marketing campaign, including social, email, and other online and offline strategies, for the Foundation's two podcasts ("Catalysts for Change" and "Last Night at School Committee") and upcoming documentary on the Guaranteed Income pilot in Chelsea, Massachusetts
  • Develop an email marketing strategy and continuously grow the Foundation's email list as a means to promote podcasts, op-eds, and other assets
  • Work with our graphic designer to conceive of, and create, graphics, videos, and other owned media content to complement social media and print marketing materials; utilize YouTube strategically to promote podcasts and other Foundation programs
  • Update website regularly and incorporate website content into strategic marketing plan
  • Correspond with sales managers at radio stations, newspapers, etc. as needed
  • Serve as a member of the broader Communications Team and advise on overall Foundation messaging and communications strategy


General qualifications:

  • 3-4 years experience in social media/digital marketing (degree in communications, business, or related field preferred)
  • Web development and graphic design experience
  • Interest in issue-based advocacy
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
