Job description
The Director, Marketing Commercial Banking will facilitate the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy for the Company and all of its affiliated entities. Additionally, s/he develops, implements and evaluates all marketing policies in accordance with business strategies and objectives. Manages a team that owns and executes marketing strategies and plans that contribute to CBB and Commercial business goals. Has extensive experience in sales and marketing, thrives in a fast-past environment and can delegate and track multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities simultaneously. Provides expertise and guidance on how to use marketing and communications to drive successful business outcomes for individual lines of business. Collaborates with senior business leaders to ensure Marketing plans and resources align with annual goals. Analyzes marketplace trends and customer data to identify opportunities for growth, understand product features/benefits and defines targeted customer segments and associated messaging. Maintains current knowledge of the products, services, and marketing techniques of competitors. Manages the team that executes marketing strategies and business line marketing plan. Contributes to marketing effectiveness by proactively identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed. Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends. Ensures communication plans for marketing/communication initiatives remain within budget. Partners with the Analytics team to understand current performance and identify growth and optimization opportunities Evangelizes the use of marketing and application of best practices within Marketing and across the organization. Coaches and mentors peers on the effective use of marketing to achieve business objectives. Partners with colleagues in Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure all activities adhere to documented policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; Marketing, Community Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field. Master's Degree; Marketing, Community Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field or equivalent work experience 9-12 years; Marketing, Financial Services experience and/or experience in regulated industries. Ability to create and execute strategic marketing plans and projects, and communicate these plans and projects at all levels. Ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns. Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation. Ability to regularly evaluate workload and prioritize projects. Ability to work with and influence senior management. Advanced knowledge of, and ability to use, all current graphic design programs and supporting creative programs. Comfortable in a highly collaborative environment, with the ability to work within a team and in a matrixed environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent professional presentation skills, and the ability to interact and engage all levels of management/leadership. Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills. Strong leadership, initiative and planning skills.
