Position Title: Finance Manager
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Based: Boston, MA

Position Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for supporting key areas of the Financial Analysis & Planning team, including providing strong financial support to PIH sites, supervising aspects of PIH's restricted revenue portfolio (proposal development, monitoring, and reporting), and contributing to overall team management and a culture of financial accompaniment. The Finance Manager's responsibilities will also include staff management.
Major Responsibilities:
* [25%] In coordination with Analysts and Associates on the team, provide higher-level strategic financial support to PIH country finance teams, ensuring that regular processes are developed, implemented, and maintained. These processes include budget planning and analysis, grant proposal budgeting and management, and general accounting entries.
* [20%] Maintain a portfolio of restricted grant funds or site budgets ensuring that:
* Regular budget versus actual spending reviews are completed and actions are taken as needed
* Donor reports are prepared on-time, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations
* Budget modifications/re-forecasts are prepared as necessary
* Play a key role in improving PIH's financial management of restricted funding portfolio, including develop/refine and maintain/update tools for management of complex multi-year grants that utilize current systems and integrate smoothly with existing processes to fulfill financial and programmatic goals.
* [20%] Manage timelines and deliverables for ad hoc projects within the finance team, including modeling and budget development for new funding opportunities. Designing, managing, and implementing key projects including tool development, roll-out of new systems/technologies, and other cross-cutting initiatives.
* [35%] Managing members of the FP&A team: developing and executing capacity building plans for each team member under supervision, including supporting the team's ability to analyze financial data and distill key information
Qualifications:
* Masters-level degree in public administration, business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum 5-8 years progressively responsible finance experience including a portion of supervisory level experience
* Experience at a global non-profit preferred
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
* Demonstrated ability to work across a range of cultures, personalities, and competencies
* Interest in social justice and the cause of global health equity
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing priorities
* Experience with information systems or proven ability to learn new systems quickly
* Advanced Excel skills
* Ability to solve problems creatively in order to meet organizational goals and objectives
