Job Summary:

We are seeking an assistant for our Human Resources team to support a busy, full-service HR department. We currently have six members on the team and our responsibilities include employee relations, training, compensation and benefits management/administration, recruiting, management of employee life cycle, office management, company events and many other traditional and some not so traditional HR tasks. We provide a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the Human Resources field with hands on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team.

  • Coordinate calendars and schedules.

  • Assist with the recruiting process - ensuring accurate job postings, scheduling interviews, processing employment applications.

  • Maintain personnel records in our HRIS; file personnel and benefits paperwork.

  • Assist in the coordination of company events.

  • Assist with building management related issues.

  • Direct employee requests to the appropriate person.

  • Liaise with our IT department for various requests.

  • Manage our HR intranet page.

  • Support the HR team with specific projects as needed.

  • This position also works with our administrative team in the support of our receptionist.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Prior experience in HR, including internships.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

  • Strong analytical, computer and written skills.

  • Professional attitude and ability to maintain highly confidential information without compromise

  • Must be a team player and willing to learn.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to confidently and professionally interact with senior level staff.

  • Ability to solve problems proactively and independently using experience and solid judgement.

  • Flexibility and creativity while working with changing priorities.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of UltiPro software, a plus.

  • Knowledge of Confluence, a plus.
