Job description

Our client is seeking a HR Manager. The ideal candidate for this role will possess both strong analytical and people skills to allow him/her/them to be able to balance the people and business needs of the organization. While the HR Manager will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO), she/he/they will also develop a strong working relationship with the Chief Operating Officer (COO). For success in this role an ability to work across stakeholder groups is essential as we view all of our roles - HR, Learning & Development, Staffing, Operations and Talent Acquisition to be connected. The following are core responsibilities of this role:

· Serve as a trusted point of advice (HR advisor) and coaching to staff as needed on HR-related issues (while also using elevating as needed to the CPO).

· Contributes to tight coordination across internal functions regarding people topics (New Hires, Absence planning, Attrition, etc.)

· Monitors employee retention metrics through employee satisfaction surveys (e.g. Values survey and others) and supports retention planning accordingly;

· Responsible for the integrity of the people data recorded and manages audits;

· Monitors employment law trends, elevates changes accordingly and speerheads the writing of policy (in coordination with the CPO)

· Manages employee leave of all kinds - including working with employees to understand their workplace accommodations needs and implementing various forms of leave such as FMLA, medical leave of absence, sabbaticals, etc.

· Manages performance management tracking and the collection and organization for twice yearly reviews; Supports the development and management of performance improvement plants (PIP);

· Manage visa process and communication regarding visa questions and issues with outside expert (Envoy);

· Manages relationships with benefits brokers and makes recommendations to leadership while also managing benefit administration during annual open enrollment period (including health insurance, life and disability insurance, flex spending, retirement, commuter benefits, etc.)

· Ensures shared drive for HR is well organized and provides easy access for key HR topics by internal HR leaders;

· Manages and oversees the HR Associate who also will support many of the activities mentioned above

Requirements

The successful Human Resources Manager candidate must have the following skills and experience:

· Bachelor's degree required with HR certifications (e.g. SHRM)

· Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources roles

· Expertise in people/HR policies & procedures - and a track record of prioritizing, defining, developing, and rolling out scalable HR solutions that address the needs of the business.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.

· Reputation for integrity, dedicated work ethic, and desire for ownership & accountability.

· Prior experience working in a high growth environment; financial services experience is a plus.

· Strong knowledge and experience with employment laws

· Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, listening, verbal and written communication skills

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (especially Outlook and Excel)

· Professional and polished written and oral communication skills

· Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
