Laundry Supervisor

Job description

The Laundry Supervisor is an essential part of the Housekeeping team and is tasked with providing uninterrupted supply of clean linen and terry for guest rooms and restaurants . This role coordinates daily tasks for Laundry Attendants, oversees the quality control process, and tracks productivity . The Laundry Supervisor is a hands-o n position, and an ideal candidate will work alongside the Laundry team . Clean and crisp linen prepared in a timely manner is the first and very important step in creating a memorable stay for the guests of The Langham, Boston.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

-Conduct the sorting of soiled linen, stain treatment, washing/drying, ironing and folding
-Stack and organize processed laundry to be easily moved to guest floors/storage areas
-Closely monitor the consistent and proper use of all cleaning agents and detergents
-Perform daily preventive waxing and lint cleaning of equipment
-Maintain regular and accurate inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment, and report to management
-Maintain and update the poundage tracking documents daily
-Ensure Laundry productivity is consistent
-Monitor and maintain the orderly and clean condition of the Laundry room and ensure all hotel property is safe and secure
-Regularly conduct quality checks of processed linen. Remove substandard items from circulation and inform Housekeeping management
