WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As Bain continues to experience unprecedented growth and expands our recruiting efforts accordingly, the Global Recruiting team is looking for a Manager that can successfully identify, attract, and hire experienced/industry talent to Bain and manage full life cycle recruiting across North American offices. This Manager will be responsible for the strategic design, development and execution of recruiting programs across the experienced hire population and will partner with key stakeholders throughout Bain to recruit and retain top talent.

Responsibilities & Duties: WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Industry/Experienced Hire Recruiting:
    • Lead the North American recruiting program for Bains experienced hire talent needs at the Consultant level, working closely with the Senior Manager to develop strategy across each stage of the recruiting funnel (market/target/screen/hire)
    • Develop a strong candidate pipeline and identify/attract recruits through marketing/programming, proactive/direct sourcing, partnership organizations, and a variety of other efforts and sources
    • Create annual marketing strategy for experienced hire recruiting population and work closely with team members to plan/execute events on an ongoing basis
    • Own the application management/screening process for all Consultant industry applicants
    • Develop relationships with priority recruits and make recommendations to teams regarding investment
    • Activate employees within Bain to source referrals through their networks and own the referral program
    • Gather market intelligence about competitive dynamics across the recruit population and propose strategies that leverage this information
    • Support the offeree closing process and new hire integration, working closely with the Senior Manager and with local office teams
    • Evaluate results/success of recruiting cycle each year and use findings to provide input to future recruiting programs and strategy
    • Develop and manage annual recruiting budget; track department expenses, flag issues, and conduct special budget projects as needed
  • Bain Leadership:
    • Manage ongoing performance and professional development for direct report(s)
    • Hold regular one on one meetings with direct report(s) to discuss professional development, set goals, and evaluate results; write and deliver performance reviews
    • Act as leader within broader recruiting team to develop and pilot new ways of recruiting experienced hires; continuously share learnings and best practices with all team members in order to streamline processes, solve problems, and identify areas of improvement
    • Communicate with stakeholders across all levels and all offices; ensure alignment and transparency into all aspects of recruiting programs
    • Prepare and communicate information for the appropriate audience level, including presentations to senior management
    • Engage with other recruiting managers and senior members of Global Recruiting to identify and solve team-wide challenges
    • Work closely with members of Associate Consultant recruiting team, Experienced Talent Recruiting team, and other Bain talent acquisition teams across the globe to ensure a consistent, streamlined recruiting process for all experienced hire applicants
Qualifications: ABOUT YOU
  • BA/BS degree required plus minimum five years recruiting experience (direct sourcing/lateral hiring experience preferred).
  • Experience managing and coaching direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of and passion for marketing related activities, including strategy, design, and execution of marketing plans.
  • Flexible work-style to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage last-minute changes.
  • Ability to represent Bain to prospective candidates and interact with senior Bain management.
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential informationin a professional/mature manner.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-time zone, global environment and ability to manage competing demands.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing technology, market trends, and talent strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Some travel may be required, with advanced notice/planning.
