Job description

We're looking for an experienced, talented, and motivated marketing professional to help us scale our pet care software platform from 200 to 1,000 companies and from 50,000 to 250,000 users in the next 12 months and launch our consumer-facing marketplace next year to help pet parents find care providers that they can trust. You'll be working directly with our Founder to help develop, refine, and execute our go-to-market playbook.


What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Own the marketing strategy and execution for the company, working closely with our founder to improve the size and effectiveness of the funnel.
  • Develop and execute a content marketing and social media program to increase organic traffic and new leads
  • Improve and expand the effectiveness of paid programs including PPC, remarketing, and sponsorships.
  • Proactively generate referrals through a referral program and interactions with current customers
  • Effectively launch new features to PetPocketbook with a multi-channel approach
  • Help drive customer success and happiness through engaging content, easy-to-use help docs, and providing top-notch support as part of our company-wide support rotation.
  • Measure and communicate the success of all marketing and product adoption programs
  • Continually test new ideas and channels to drive new businesses into the PetPocketbook funnel.
  • Lead sales demos and new business onboarding sessions for inbound leads as needed
  • Listen, interpret, and articulate feedback from prospects and customers to help inform our technology roadmap.


Who we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of full-time work experience in B2B (preferably targeting SMBs) and/or B2C marketing
  • A renaissance (wo)man excited to take charge of building our brand and content strategy, with a strong understanding of growth marketing (and willingness) to close and onboard new and in/outbound leads
  • Experienced with a variety of marketing channels including Google, Facebook, blogging, and social media
  • Eager and able to think strategically about where we're going and execute tactically in the day-to-day.
  • Believer in taking a consultative sales approach, prioritizing understanding a prospects' wants and needs, and treating every conversation as an opportunity to build value and trust
  • Tech-savvy with the patience and wherewithal to walk your grandparents through how to use a complex consumer app
  • Self-motivated with an excellent work ethic and a hands-on, get-stuff-done attitude
  • Superb problem solver with strong critical thinking skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Charismatic with an "infectious energy" that others want to be around. You're naturally empathetic, build rapport quickly, and a born storyteller
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a humble spirit -- honest, transparent, and of high integrity
  • Obsessed with pets and would love to support animal rescue work, if you're not involved already
