JOB DESCRIPTION:
At Newmark advantage (our consulting platform), enhancing the human experience is a linchpin of optimizing financial and operational performance for our client's businesses and institutions. Understanding the where, how, why, and how long of their talent strategies is the function of our Newmark advantage platform. The embedded strategists primary function is to analyze every aspect of the portfolio and real estate operating model at every stage of real estate lifecycle in order to construct a comprehensive view of how our clients are managing their portfolio today and, where there are opportunities for multiple Newmark advantage services to add value (e.g. Location Strategy, Transaction Management, Lease Administration, Workplace Strategy, Project Management, and Technology).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Establish a standardized approach to strategizing the real estate portfolio by leveraging the Newmark HELiX platform. In doing so, implement a process for the portfolio data to be updated on a regular basis along with a comprehensive opportunity analysis and a refresh of the real estate portfolio strategy, both long- and short-term.
* Identify Opportunities to improve real estate portfolio performance metrics by identifying assets which are currently not aligned with business goals, desired occupancy models, or are sub-optimized in at least one key area. Depending on the opportunity related to each asset, opportunities will be flagged for tactical and immediate real estate execution, or for additional strategic analysis and business case development.
* Partner with global and regional leadership in order to align the real estate strategy - and the associated processes and playbooks to implement - with the strategic direction of the business.
* Develop client relationships to earn status as a trusted advisor
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree - preferably in Real Estate, Architecture, Design, Social Science or workplace strategy
* Minimum 10 years related experience
* Knowledge and extensive work experience in the field of workplace strategy
* A history of exploring broad, undefined problem areas
* Ability to think strategically, implement change, enforce policy and resolve conflict.
* Strong client relationship and account management experience
* Proven ability to masterfully present, effectively sell and negotiate the services of Newmark Knight Frank
* Visibility in the field, including industry memberships, publications, and conference speaking experience
* Understanding and knowledge of any necessary regulations, in which work is being performed, to ensure compliance
* May perform other duties as assigned
