We are seeking an experienced Private Client Advisor. This key position is responsible for advising high net worth individuals, families and organizations, and is focused on building, preserving and managing their wealth. You will use your knowledge of credit, investments, financial planning and banking to both advise current clients on all aspects of their balance sheet and be the driving force in new client acquisition. In this role, you will have the full spectrum of products and services available to you to meet the needs of clients and prospective clients.
Location is flexible within Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary team member with the overall responsibility of new client development, while maintaining and deepening existing client relationships through a cross sell effort and gaining a larger share of wallet.
- Liaise with specialists, product officers and other internal partner resources to ensure the integrated delivery of investment, fiduciary, credit and banking solutions are seamless. The ability to build partnerships and collaboratively work with others as a part of the sales team is essential. Foster collaboration among team members and partners.
- Maintain and develop an expanding reliable referral network with various centers of influence including but not limited to life underwriters, attorneys, accountants and investment bankers.
- Increase bank visibility by participating in industry networking events, bank sponsored events and other community activities. The candidate may also conduct or coordinate seminars on a variety of topics that will drive new business activity or customer retention.
- Meet risk, compliance and policy requirements as applicable
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of lending to high net worth individuals, families and organizations in need of debt capital, estate planning, insurance, mutual funds, retirement plans, investments, trust funds and wealth transfer
- Be equally responsible for client satisfaction and retention.
- Excellent ability to work in team environment, be a self-starter and achieve individual sales goals determined by the Manager.
- Strong interpersonal and partnership skills
- Additional knowledge of all bank products and services.
- Good professional, interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related field or equivalent work experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management and Sales.
- 7+ years of successful and proven sales experience in managing relationships with high net worth clients and/or organizations (or equivalent)
- CFP or other professional certifications or licenses are preferred.
