We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Data Science Team as a Research Analyst/Scientist. The candidate will work closely with Data and Life Science Research Scientists on various projects assisting with a variety of data and research project tasks as well as supporting the administrative workload of the team. The candidate will assist with manuscripts, IRB and grant writing, data analysis, as well as assist with other project management tasks as needed. Qualified applicants will contribute to writing, editing, and producing abstracts, manuscripts, reports, and proposals as well as be able to analyze and evaluate clinical and economic studies and data and summarize results. This position can learn alongside a unique team from disciplines as diverse as psychology, biostatistics, epidemiology, medicine, data science and consumer informatics. This is a full-time role that is currently remote due to COVID.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development of IRB submission materials alongside the Life Science Research Team
- Support tasks related to manuscripts including sourcing data, compiling citations, literature review and writing responsibilities
- Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests with descriptive statistics
- Coordinate research materials for ongoing and future research projects
- Review and coding qualitative data
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of study data
- Prepare presentation decks and marketing materials
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science or Master of Science in Public Health and 2 years of work experience in health or life science research or Bachelor's of Science and 3-5 years of work experience in health or life science research
- Life Science knowledge in biology, public health, health sciences or similar a must
· Basic SQL or R/Python skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) and shared collaborative document systems (i.e., Google docs)
- Highly developed reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Attention to detail
- Disciplined, self-motivated, able to prioritize workload
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research writing and/or IRB and grant writing experience
- Basic data visualization skills
- Good SQL or Python skills
- Track record of publications or communications background a plus
