WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Research Associate within BCG's Data and Research Service (DRS) function, you will form an integral part of our Americas DRS team. Through the delivery of secondary research, you will contribute to BCG's client work and knowledge base by supporting proposals, client cases and business or internal development initiatives, with a focus on Financial Institutions and Insurance related research (within life insurance, property and casualty insurance, retail banking, capital markets, and asset & wealth management topics).

You will clearly synthesize, package, articulate and deliver your findings in a timely and accurate manner and conduct research on a variety of topics related to BCG's work supporting Financial Institutions and Insurance sector clients. Excellent organization skills are essential for successfully managing a variety and volume of research requests by accurately summarizing data and facts into appropriate and timely output i.e. email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Along with supporting research products (i.e. news alerts, company profiles etc.), you will also contribute to knowledge capture and documentation.

  • Working closely with fellow DRS colleagues, you will approach all interactions with the highest level of quality and customer service. You will also guide outsourcing partners in their research analysis and do quality assurance

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Undergraduate degree minimum (a preference for a degree in business or economics)
  • 0-2 years relevant working experience
  • Excellent English
  • Experience in one or more insurance or financial services sectors (life insurance; property & casualty insurance; retail banking; capital markets; asset & wealth management) and quantitative skills preferred

The Data and Research Services (DRS) function is a dynamic and highly visible center of excellence focused on business research and process innovation. We collaborate with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. DRS provides specialist research services to consulting teams and our Knowledge Team, taking deep pride in delivering rapid and precise results.

DRS works with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities and trade data.
