Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will be a part of the squad that manages Time and Billing (T&B), an internally developed project accounting application. T&B is the accounting engine for all revenue, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions, as well as a source for critical financial reporting. T&B also captures key data for a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders and delivers it through reports and integrations to downstream applications.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into user stories and artifacts. You will work with the Product Owner to further refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog accordingly. You will work closely with the Product Owner and developers to identify opportunities for automation of manual processes and enhancements to internal controls ensuring T&B efficient operation and the highest level of integrity in its data, transactions and reports.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Collaborating across a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure that requirements, and designs are accurately captured
  • Translating business need into clear requirements and agile stories
  • Understanding the overall business vision for work being requested to support the Product Owner in prioritizing items of the highest value in each sprint
  • Identifying and educating yourself on new technologies and trends.
  • Being a team player, open, pleasure to work with and positive in a group dynamic, ability to work collaboratively in virtual teams and someone who is self-starter and highly proactive
  • Working with multicultural, agile teams located across different time zones

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, technology, or related field
  • Understanding of Corporate Finance and Accounting including topics such as: revenue recognition, project accounting, invoicing and accounts receivable and intercompany
  • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering/user story design and story mapping.
  • Experience working on large, complex IT projects
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, requirements planning and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification and resolution
  • Experience working with a distributed team in an agile context
