SUMMARY

The Social Media Specialist will focus mainly on managing our social media platform accounts across all channels, consistently creating content, and executing creative campaigns for our existing brands as well as building a following for our premier retail brand, Naked Seafood. The candidate will need to become familiar with our business and adapt to the existing tone of the company while assisting with the creation of a new tone for our emerging accounts.

The Social Media Specialist will also collaborate on a variety of other marketing related projects and campaigns, with the expectation they will help build upon the departments foundation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing marketing team that is fast paced, energetic, ambitious and creative. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate, hands-on, and a self-starter with a diversity of experience and a positive attitude.

This position reports to our Digital Marketing Specialist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Create monthly content calendars and schedule engaging posts across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google My Business)
* Build, optimize, and execute social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, brand messaging, and audience identification specifically for account
* Write original copy and support in creation of blog content
* Establish a consistent brand tone across all channels
* Monitor and engage with comments, questions, messages, and user generated content from social media followers creating meaningful connections with community members
* Track, analyze, and report on social media insights
* Leverage analytics to continuously optimize social media strategy
* Assist in creating a strategic influencer program, collaborating directly to with social media brand partners to develop campaigns on a quarterly basis
* Collaborate with Sales Team, Advertising Team, PR Team, Restaurant and Retail Partners
* Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

Requirements

* Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related field
* 1+ years experience managing a Business or entrepreneurial social media account
* 1+ years experience in marketing related position

* Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
* Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
* Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage priorities
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Open to giving and receiving feedback
* Excellent attention to detail
* Familiarity with Google Analytics and other social media analytical tools
* Background in the Food Industry a plus
* Video editing skills a plus
* Basic graphic design experience
* Experience with Adobe Suite preferred (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

* Provide relevant portfolio samples (edited photos and/or videos, social posts, blogs, etc.)
* Provide analytics on the success of social media accounts you manage
