POSITION
Job Summary
A Trade Operations Analyst will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate communication and settlement of trades.
Job Responsibilities
A Trade Operations Analyst will:
• Research and resolve trade and FX discrepancies by interacting with brokers, custodian banks, and WMC personnel
• Instruct trades and trade amendments to service providers when necessary
• Assist other areas of the firm with general custody and trading inquires
• Coordinate in broker service reviews
• Assist with the management and hiring of Co-Op students and interns
• Manage strategic projects and initiatives
• Participate in working firm and industry working groups
• Mitigate risk and maintain strong global cohesiveness through adherence to proper operational controls.
job Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and one-two or more years of relevant industry experience.
The Trade Operations Analyst must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, possess a high degree of analytical ability, perform long-range tasks while experiencing short-term interruptions, and have the ability to plan and prioritize responsibilities. The candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The Trade Operations Analyst will be required to work independently as well as contribute to a cohesive team atmosphere. Team orientation and the ability to work with banks, brokers and colleagues located around the world are essential.
Expertise in business applications such as ALERT, OASYS, Connect/CTM, Omgeo TradeSuite and SWIFT considered a plus. Knowledge of both fixed income and equities is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel) is required.
