Job Summary

This is a Tableau Business Analyst position that involves a detail-oriented mindset combined with an ability to understand and document business/reporting processes and data flows. This position will be focused on gathering/validating business requirements and involved in the delivery of reporting solutions to meet the needs of the business. The person in this role will work closely with financial management and is responsible for documenting data flows, reporting processes, and business intelligence infrastructure. This position will play a vital role in the report development lifecycle, as well as business engagement and stakeholder management.

Tableau is the main business intelligence tool that is currently being used, so some experience with Tableau reports and data sources is needed.

Job Detail

• Assist in developing the documentation and procedures required to identify current business objectives to meet organizational needs.
• Create project reports, documentation, and deliverables.
• Document systems through object models, data definitions, and naming conventions.
• Acts as a liaison between IT and business groups during analysis, requirements definition and design activities for financial reporting solutions and/or integration projects.
• Participate in business requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, lead UAT efforts, and assist in creating Activity Diagrams and Functional specifications.
• Interview stakeholders in order to understand what data is needed to answer key business questions and where to source that data from, and how to present it so that it meets their expectations.
• Profile the data/information gathered from multiple sources and creates source documents.
• Support the maintenance of business systems and interface applications.
• Will be assisting the team with project tasks which includes changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
• The ideal candidate will be able to independently act in every aspect of the report development lifecycle to ensure data quality and reporting standards are maintained as well as process flow documentation experience and excel/office skills.
• Experience dealing with data from a variety of data sources as well as SQL.
• Strong attention to detail with intensity around producing high quality products and meeting deadlines.
• Must possess strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple complex tasks.
• Some experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep is required.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
