Our team delivers on a variety of projects, ranging from negotiations workshops, advisory boards, payer value propositions, health technology appraisals and policy engagement programs across many therapy areas including Rare Diseases, RA, Oncology and Hematology.
The Associate Management Consultant provides support and strategic direction on various agency accounts. This role will have strategic support from a senior team member but is expected to run the day to day client work and engage different team members as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Works with Consultant and Senior Consultant team members to develop market access strategies within the US/Globally for both drugs and devices across a broad range of therapeutic indications
- Has a solid understanding of the US/Global managed care market and relevant payer stakeholders
- Has experience working with payer stakeholders and decision makers critical to influencing reimbursement decisions within the US healthcare market to drive new business development
- Support implementation of strategic and tactical planning for clients drawing on a broad range of skill sets across VMLY&Rx Payer
- Understands the role of clinical and HEOR departments and their contribution towards development of robust market access strategies
- Participate in aspects of new business where appropriate to assist in the development of managed care/market access content and participate in presentations to prospective clients
- Has the ability to flex knowledge and strategies for both US and Global clients, although primarily US focused
- Provides senior on project guidance on critical financial and project management aspects of projects to ensure profitable delivery and adherence to agency processes

Required Skills & Experience
- Highly organized, decisive leader who is able to effectively communicate with clients, as well as internal colleagues and partnering companies
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at multiple levels on health economics, clinical, or public health documents across a spectrum of therapeutic categories
- Consultancy skills that support a strong business development culture amongst team members and drive new business opportunities
- 3-5 years experience within market access
- Communications company experience:
- Managed markets or organizational customer marketer
- Examples of relevant experience outside a medical communications firm include:
- Health plan or PBM experience:
- Quality, utilization, disease, or case manager with an MSW, MS-RN, or MS-RD degree/credential
- Pharma economics director with MPH, PhD, or MS degree
- HEDIS director
- Health plan pharmacy director (RPH or PharmD)
- Health plan medical director
- Relevant drug company experience includes:
- Managed care marketer, market access lead, Payer Manager/Director
- Customer Business unit or organizational customer marketer
- HEOR manager with marketing experience
- Relevant segment experience
- Hospital or medical center
- Manager/Director of business operations related to reimbursement
- Public health manager/director
- VA/DoD medical or pharmacy director
- Disease Management Company
- Medical director, RN, RPH, or PharmD
- Long-term care
- Nursing, Medical, or Pharmacy director
- Relevant consulting experience
- Senior consultant, Engagement Manager
- Hospital or medical center
