The People & Talent (P&T) team is looking to hire a Human Resources Co-op! You will assist in a variety of meaningful HR activities across our teams, including, but not limited to, performance management and professional development, employee onboarding, HRIS processing and reporting, and providing overall HR support to employees.
In addition to gaining experience in the People & Talent function and developing a broad range of skills and capabilities, you will gain a strong understanding of CarGurus' growing business and how we are innovating the car buying and selling experience.
This is a full-time, paid, Spring 2022 Co-op position. Only students currently enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate program will be considered. Must be eligible to work 40 hours a week from January 2022 - June 2022.
Sample Responsibilities of the HR Co-op:
New Hires
Coordinate new hire gifts
Schedule onboarding activities for US, Canada and London
Reporting/Audits
Review & analyze data; prepare monthly reports
Customize reports based on business requests
Manage accuracy of employee data and paperwork requirements
Terminations
Prepare termination packages
Schedule exit meetings to go over Package (Cobra, 401(k), Benefits, Final Paycheck, etc.)
Coordinate equipment return with IT
Overall HR support
Assist with the performance management and promotion processes across the business
Process employee changes for the US: Manager Changes, Promotions, LOA, transfers, etc.
Answer HR/Benefit questions
Verification of Employment/Unemployment claims
Work on other projects as needed
Desired Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in a business/HR degree program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word
Ability to handle a high volume of HR transactions; stay up-to-date on and consistently apply HR policies/regulations/employment laws; act as a "go-to" HR resource
