Job description

Kelly Science & Clinical has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Protein Chemist with a biopharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

+ Lead biophysical characterization and analytics to support development of new and novel molecules

+ Provide technical guidance in experimental design, implementation, and analysis

+ Design and perform biophysical and biochemical experiments to maximize preclinical development success

+ Develop assays to identify and characterize early discovery molecules

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project advancements

+ Provide guidance and data-driven support for drug product candidates

+ Author, review, and revise SOPs and other internal documents to streamline workflow and improve efficiency

+ Contribute to publication, posters, and presentations shared to various shareholders

+ Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment

+ Other duties as requested

You are a great fit if you meet the following qualifications:

+ MS/PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or closely related discipline

+ Must have Industry experience purifying and characterizing proteins using chromatography (HPLC, SEC, HIC, LCMS, IEX, and/or ITC) and Mass Spec techniques

+ Demonstrated ability to identify molecules for preclinical development and design experiments

+ Hands-on Industry experience in both assay/method development and characterization

+ Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with multiple project timelines

+ Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
